1988 Magnum Magnum 45 Express

The Magnum 45 Express, a model from 1988, initially came equipped with robust Detroit Engines. However, in a significant overhaul in 2009, it underwent a major refit which included re-powering with newer, lighter Cummins Engines, model QSM-11. These modern engines, notable for their efficiency and reduced weight, currently show about 430 operational hours.

Additionally, during the 2009 refit, the boat's generator was upgraded to a newer model. The replacement was an Onan 9Kw generator, model 9MDKBL, a reliable diesel-powered unit which has accumulated approximately 712 hours of use to date.

The vessel is also fitted with both bow and stern thrusters, enhancing maneuverability in tight docking situations. Another standout feature is the ASD 12 Arnesson drive, which is known for its high performance and durability. The boat includes two sets of props from Rolla, which contribute to its impressive cruising speed of 35 knots and a maximum speed of 42 knots. This combination of features makes the Magnum 45 Express a remarkable example of power and precision in a luxury marine craft.
